摘要: Introduction: Management of neglected perilunate dislocations is controversial. The various procedures such as open reduction and internal fixation (ORIF), proximal row carpectomy, lunate excision, wrist arthrodesis have been advocated. aim our study was to evaluate the functional outcome managed by ORIF. Materials Methods: Over a period 10 years (1996 2006), 14 patients with (undiagnosed or untreated for 6 weeks more) were Six had dorsal trans-scaphoid dislocation, volar dislocation while remaining two results evaluated clinical scoring system Cooney et al. Results: average followup 4.1 (range 2-12 years). All except one operated earlier than 5 months good results. Of four after months, fair result poor outcome. Chondral damage capitate noted intraoperatively in both cases outcomes. found avascular necrosis (AVN) lunate; however, both, able return their profession. Conclusion: We observed favorable ORIF up injury. development AVN midcarpal arthritis not major disabling factor long stability has restored. Beyond an alternative surgical procedure carpectomy should be contemplated uniformly.
