摘要: This systematic review summarises the data published on Leptospira seroprevalence, serovar diversity and distribution among animal species in Caribbean region. Following Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews Meta-Analysis (PRISMA) guidelines, checklist, relevant articles were identified extracted recorded. The provided seroprevalence from 16 islands (Barbados, Trinidad, Grenada, Puerto Rico, Saint Croix, St. Kitts Nevis, Jamaica, Antigua, Carriacou, Dominica, Guadalupe, Martinique, Monserrat, Lucia, Maarten, Vincent) a variety of species. Reviewing literature highlighted limited amount available number islands. Many studies conducted have recorded seroprevalences based variable small samples sizes. Besides, panels used MAT not consistent between studies. indicates that exposure given geographic location may change with time climatic environmental conditions, highlights need to conduct continual surveillance tropical countries where climate supports survival environment. Specific attention must be standardization protocols providing training across laboratories involved testing. Further, environment testing isolate identify circulating spp. region actively pursued. knowledge is important implement geographically specific control programs, as risk factors transmission favoured by various such urbanization, encroachment wildlife inhabitation, import/export animals, increase adventure travel, water related recreational activities.
