Excellent Antimicrobial Performance of Co-Doped Magnetite Double-Layered Ferrofluids Fabricated from Natural Sand.

摘要: Abstract The preparation of Co-doped magnetite ferrofluids from natural sand was developed using a double-layer technique. nanoparticles formed spinel phase with lattice parameters in the range 8.355–8.422 A and tended to agglomerate particle sizes 7–12 nm. presence first second layers oleic acid DMSO detected by infrared spectrum as well olive oil used carrier liquid. saturation magnetization superparamagnetic samples decreased 24.4 4.8 emu/g decreasing Co2+ composition. size electrostatic forces between magnetic particles microbes played an essential role inhibiting microbial growth. Interestingly, increasing composition enhanced superior performance against E. coli, S. aureus, B. subtilis, C. albicans. With additional extensive investigation, we believe that prepared double-layered antimicrobial can be new significant agents.
