摘要: Drug rash with eosinophilia and systemic symptoms (DRESS) syndrome associated anticonvulsant drugs is a rare but potentially life-threatening disease that occurs in response to arene oxide producing such as phenytoin carbamazepine. There have been many reports of cross reactivity among the anticonvulsants upon first exposure offending drugs. However, there has few data describing development DRESS after switching medication from previously well-tolerated carbamazepine, induction hypersensitivity by We experienced case 40-yr-old man who had uncontrolled seizure led change long-term used He developed changing stopped carbamazepine restored for control, his clinical manifestations progressively worsened he recovered only when both were discontinued. Patch tests several showed positive reactions phenytoin. Our suggests tolerated can be induced another anticonvulsant, patch test may useful method detecting cross-reactive anticonvulsant-associated syndrome.
