摘要: Background Radiotherapy is one of the major therapeutic strategies in cancer treatment. The telomere-binding protein TPP1 an important component shelterin complex at mammalian telomeres. Our previous reports showed that expression was elevated radioresistant cells, but exact effects and mechanisms on radiosensitivity unclear. Principal Findings In this study, we found significantly correlated with radioresistance longer telomere length human colorectal cell lines. Moreover, overexpression lengthened a significant decrease to X-rays. mediated decreased apoptosis rate after IR exposure. Furthermore, prolonged G2/M arrest by ATM/ATR-Chk1 signal pathway accelerated repair kinetics total DNA damage dysfunction induced ionizing radiation. Conclusions We demonstrated expressions cells could protect from confer radioresistance. These results suggested may be potential target radiotherapy cancer.
