摘要: Protonation constant of an unsymmetrical Schiff base, salicylidene(N-benzoyl)glycyl hydrazone (SalBzGH), and formation constants its complexes have been determined potentiometrically at different temperatures in aqueous dioxane medium. Complexes SalBzGH with VO(IV), Mn(II), Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II), Zn(II), Cd(II) Hg(II) prepared. Elemental analyses, pH-metric, molar conductance, magnetic susceptibility, electronic, IR, ESR, XRD (powder) NMR studies carried out to study the coordination behaviour toward these metal ions. pH-metric 1H show presence two dissociable protons ligand. IR spectra suggest tridentate nature ligand, coordinating as a uninegative species Mn(II) complex dinegative all other complexes. Presence conformers ligand room temperature stabilization single conformer upon established from1H metal-free Zn(II) recorded 296 K. Electronic ESR indicate highly distorted tetragonal geometry for VO(IV) Cu(II) powder patterns are indexed orthorhombic crystal system.
