摘要: The Indian subcontinent contains a multitude of Early Paleolithic sites which are important for understanding dispersal processes and the paleodemography early humans. Mode I appear to be scarce whereas Acheulean occurrences found in some abundance, particularly within basins that provided perennial water supply, high biomass, raw material sources. Though record habitation appears extend over long term South Asia, site distributions counts do not necessarily imply populations were large permanent any particular region. tool-making traditions Asia contrast considerably with contemporaneous tool assemblages East though there intriguing technological similarities Chinese stone from Luonan Basin, suggesting more complicated scenario evolution Asia.
