摘要: This paper addresses the problem of detecting and identifying transmission line outages in near real-time. To this end, we utilize statistical properties electricity generation demand, apply a quickest change detection algorithm to measurements voltage phase angles collected using phasor measurement units (PMUs). We propose procedure for optimally selecting buses PMU placement with goal minimizing worst case outage delay. In addition, method partition power system into several areas such that can be applied parallel each area faster detection. illustrate proposed ideas via studies involving IEEE 30-bus test system.
