摘要: The conductivities (σ) of the rare earth sesquioxides decrease with atomic number (Z) increase as tabulated in Table 5-1 [1] (Oxygen pressure (Po2): 0.2 atm) showing a p-type conduction. A break appears at 550-600 C (TB) relationship log σ vs. 1/T for most oxides. In contrast, activation energy an Z was observed simultaneously accompanying conductivity. considerable ionic conductivity oxides higher temperatures above inflection point mentioned. For example, transference (ti) is estimated to be 0.5 Gd2O3 1100 and Po2 10 -3 atm, value Dy2O3 6.3 x -5 atm. ti increases up 0.9 1200 Nd2O3, electronic contributions electrical were investigated from dependency upon oxygen pressure, it concluded that conduction mainly due vacancies.
