摘要: Since the 1970s utility and efficacy of medical ethics curricula in undergraduate programs have received heightened world-wide attention. During this time, an “ethics boom” occurred designed to counter disappearance education marginalization moral from higher education. This “boom”, witnessed most professional programs, is also notable for its absence from teacher programs Australia US. Whilst there a clear gap ethics literature teachers, large number investigations has still not resolved uncertainty in relation to outcomes, effectiveness teaching methods, effects background student characteristics upon decisions ever changing social mores shaping ethical behaviours. Reported here are findings from case study regional Australian university whose aims were identify domains mutual interest between schools medicine education. The ultimate goal facilitate dialogue prepare undergraduates meet their obligations with clearer understanding ethical contingencies other professions. Focus interviews with students practitioners, survey examination two schools suggests all would develop greater complex issues facing both professions if they attended generic course early years. The use real life scenarios methodology applied across fields illuminate stake holder’s perspectives has been called for. Such approach, highlighting contemporary cultural norms upon ethical behaviours, thought promote reflection.
