摘要: Anthracycline antibiotics are of particular value in the therapy malignant diseases and exert profound effects not only on tumor cells but also cardiovascular system. These quinone drugs affect vascular tone by a multitude mechanisms, including acute modulation Ca 2+ homeostasis, altered expression membrane proteins enzymes that involved control smooth muscle contraction, generation autoregulatory mediators, such as nitric oxide endothelin. Anthracyclines interfere with blood coagulation-fibrinolysis balance due to its production prostacyclin , plasminogen activator inhibitor endothelium. Moreover, anthracyclines thought be modulators angiogenesis. The intensity quality anthracycline actions vessel function highly variable may depend chemical structure type well metabolic redox status tissue. Vascular possibly both beneficial toxic undesirable side-effects progress. Further investigations required clarify relation between specific modifications cell clinical events observed during antineoplastic anthracyclines.
