Determining Phthalic Acid Esters Using Terahertz Time Domain Spectroscopy

摘要: In this report terahertz time domain spectroscopy (THz-TDS) is applied for determining phthalic acid esters (PAEs) in standard materials. We reported the THz transmission spectrum frequency range of 0.2 to 2.0 three PAEs: di-n-butyl phthalate (DBP), di-isononyl (DINP), and di-2-ethylhexyl ester (DEHP). The study provided refractive indices absorption features these spectra PAEs were simulated by using Gaussian software with Density Functional Theory (DFT) methods. For pure PAEs, values changed between 1.50 1.60. At 1.0 THz, 1.524, 1.535, 1.563 DINP, DEHP, DBP, respectively. experiment different concentrations DBP investigated THz-TDS. Changes measured low characteristic absorption. results indicated that THz-TDS promising as a new method many could be used support practical application quality detection food monitoring. particular, technique detecting hazardous materials other substances present wine or foods.
