摘要: Traditionally, the debate regarding PSB funding consists of a division between culture and commerce. This discussion has been amplified by recent trend digitisation. Yet, this evolution’s reach stretches beyond application supplementary platforms channels. In line with digitisation audiovisual workflows deterioration analogue materials, broadcasters feel increasing need digitising their archives. Unfortunately is very costly venture that however holds vast potential reinforcing remit when properly unlocked. article looks into two similar PSB’s unlocking efforts: VRT (Flanders) S&V (The Netherlands). Despite differing strongly in organisation scope, both currently have state aided programmes, seemingly conform to European regulation. Still, actual, large scale residential yet take off cases. emphasizes complexity respect serving tasks danger disturbing open market. A twofold proposed commercial, market branch state-aided cultural branch, comprising less evident, valuable content.
