Synthesis of hierarchical meso‐macroporous silica monolith using chitosan as biotemplate and its application as polyethyleneimine support for CO2 capture

摘要: Abstract This present study reported for the first time use of chitosan as biotemplate in synthesis hierarchical meso‐macroporous silica monolith. The calcined monolith was characterized by means scanning electron microscopy (SEM), transmission (TEM), N2 adsorption–desorption measurements and mercury porosimeter. obtained showed a bicontinuous macroporous structure with mesopore-channels distributing inside skeleton wall. total pore volume large 2.36 cm3/g high BET surface area 246 m2/g. Polyethyleneimine-loaded exhibited CO2 adsorption capacity an excellent reversible performance.
