摘要: We analyzed the distribution of 2 repetitive DNAs, i.e. ribosomal DNA (rDNA) and a satellite (satDNA), on B chromosomes found in 17 natural populations grasshopper Eyprepocnemis ploransplorans sampled around western Mediterranean region, including Iberian Peninsula, Balearic Islands, Sicily, Tunisia. Based amount these 4 types variants were found: B1, showing an equal or higher rDNA than satDNA, 3 other variants, B2, B24 B5, bearing satDNA rDNA. The B1 B2 varied size among populations: was about half X chromosome but two-thirds at Alicante, Murcia Albacete provinces. Likewise, one-third from Granada province collected Malaga province. widespread geographical variant makes it best candidate for being ancestor whole region.
