摘要: The bacterial biota of the human vagina can have a profound impact on health women and their neonates. Changes in vaginal microbiota been associated with several adverse outcomes including premature birth, pelvic inflammatory disease, acquisition HIV infection. Cultivation-independent molecular methods provided new insights regarding diversity this important niche, particularly common condition vaginosis (BV). PCR shown that BV complex communities bacteria include many fastidious species, from phyla Bacteroidetes Actinobacteria. Healthy are mostly colonized lactobacilli such as Lactobacillus crispatus, jensenii, iners, though variety other may be present. microbiology is heterogeneous. presence Gardnerella vaginalis Atopobium vaginae coating epithelium some subjects suggests biofilms contribute to condition.
