Vermicompost as soil supplement to enhance growth, yield and quality of Triticum aestivum L.: a field study

摘要: Vermicompost (VC) made from cattle dung as raw material was used soil supplement in the plots of size 4.5 x m. Five treatments were given viz. Soil (control), VC@5 t/ha, VC@10 VC@20 t/ha and NPK (recommended by PAU, Ludhiana) triplicates a Randomized Block Design (RBD). A total 50 plants selected randomly for assessment growth yield wheat Triticum aestivum L.. Most growth, quality parameters found to be maximum treatment. All vermicompost varied significantly control though differences within various not significant. It has been observed that there is no significant difference on applying higher doses lowest dose (5 t/ha) effective doses. So, application cost effective.
