摘要: Tribology is the science and engineering of interacting surfaces in relative motion. It includes study application principles friction, lubrication, wear. an important phenomenon that not only impacts design operation wind turbine gearboxes, but also their subsequent maintenance requirements overall reliability. With major growth increasing dependency on renewable energy, mechanical reliability extremely issue. The Wind Turbine Seminar was convened to explore state-of-the-art tribology lubricant technologies, raise industry awareness a very complex topic, present behind each technology, identify possible R&D areas. To understand background work had already been accomplished, consolidate some level collective understanding by acknowledged experts, National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL), Argonne (ANL), U.S. Department (DOE) hosted seminar. held at Renaissance Boulder Flatiron Hotel Broomfield, Colorado November 15-17, 2011.
