摘要: We use velocities derived from 2–4.5 years of continuous GPS observations at 21 sites on the Pacific and North American plates along with a subset NUVEL-1A data to examine steadiness Pacific-North America motion since 3.16 Ma, transfer Baja California plate, magnitude biases in estimate motion. find that has remained steady but rates significantly faster than predicted by NUVEL-1A. In vicinity California, our GPS-derived model recent seafloor spreading southern Gulf both indicate underestimates 4±2 mm yr−1. Steady Myr increasing 3.58 imply was partitioned between decelerating slip faults or offshore peninsula.
