摘要: Geophysical and Environmental Research Imaging Spectrometer (GERIS) 63-channel scanner data covering the spectral region 0.4 to 2.5 microns were analyzed for Cuprite mining district, Esmeralda Nye Counties, Nevada. Individual spatially averaged spectra extracted from GERIS used identify minerals alunite, kaolinite, buddingtonite, hematite by their characteristics. The images classified in domain produce color-coded image maps of mineral distribution that clearly show zoned nature hydrothermal system. Comparison thematic with existing geologic alteration demonstrates utility imaging spectrometers producing detailed exploration.
