摘要: A new marine myxosporean species, Ceratomyxa aegyptiaca n. sp. is described from the gall-bladder of Solea Chabanaud collected Ghar El Melh Lagoon in northeastern Tunisia. Mature spores are elongate and crescent-shaped, measuring 8–11 μm length 48–58 width. The polar capsules spherical, 3.2–4 diameter equal size. Trophozoites polysporous float free bile or attached on epithelium gall-bladder. Morphological data molecular analysis based 18S rDNA sequences provided. C. readily distinguishable that other myxozoan as genetically most similar parasite, seriolae Yokoyama & Fukuda, 2001 (AB530265) Seriola quinqueradiata Temminck Schlegel Japanese waters, shares with it only 67.5% identical nucleotides over a 1,680-bp long fragment rDNA.
