摘要: Abstract Objective Asthma is a multifaceted inflammatory disorder which results into narrowing of airway with broncho-constriction and spasm. As the complex pathophysilogy asthma, various animal models are generally used to investigate immunological physiological pathogenesis disease. Abrus precatorius Linn (Fabacease) climbing shrub. The leaves roots sweet in taste traditionally for treatment bronchititis, inflammation. A. precatorius possesses different pharmacological activities. Hence objective this study was evaluate antiasthmatic activity ethanol extract using models. Methods In present evaluated carrageenan induced paw edema rats [100–150 mg/kg], histamine bronchospasm guinea pig [200–400 mg/kg] contraction goat tracheal chain [2.5–25 μg/ml]. Results Result revealed that significantly exhibited anti-inflammatory effects rats, oral on increases preconvulsive dysponea times plant got precontracted histamine. Conclusion concludes activity.
