摘要: J.H.Jeon*,S.C.Yeon**andH.H.Chang*DivisionofAnimalScienceandTechnologyInstituteofAgri․ culture LifeSciences,&GyeongsangNationalUniversity,Jinju,Gyeongnam660-701,RepublicofKorea*,CollegeofVetMedicine,GyeongsangNationalUniversity,Jinju,Gyeongnam660-701,RepublicofKorea**ABSTRACTSuckling piglets must avoid positions with high air velocity because they don’t have hypodermic fat.Therefore this study examined the effects of ejection on behaviors sows and their piglets.Compressed was released for 5s at intervals between floor udder only when werestandingorsitting.Sixteenmultiparouscrossbred(Landrace×Yorkshire)sowsandtheirpigletswereused.Behaviorsofsixteensows were recorded 4 days postpartum, using LED lamp(wavelength:950nm),CCD camera(Samsung SDC-411), multiplexer(SamsungSDM-080), andtimelapsed VCR(SamsungSRV-30).Thevideotapeswerescannedevery30stoobtainaninstantaneousbehavioralsample.The sow’s standing sitting rates control group(CG) group(AEG) notsignificantly different(P >0.05). This means that does not affect behavior sows.Frequency suckling piglets’ closely related to crushing by lower in AEGthan CG(P <0.05). These results suggest may be available reduction thecrushingofsucklingpigletsbysows.(Keywords :Air-ejection,Behavior,Crushing,Piglet,Sow)
