Collimated prompt gamma TOF measurements with multi-slit multi-detector configurations

摘要: Longitudinal prompt-gamma ray profiles have been measured with a multi-slit multi-detector configuration at 75 MeV/u 13C beam and PMMA target. Selections in time-of-flight energy applied order to discriminate rays produced the target from background events. The ion ranges which extracted each individual detector module agree amongst other are consistent theoretical expectations. In separate dedicated experiment 200 12C ions fraction of inter-detector scattering has determined be on 10%-level via combination experimental results simulations. At same different collimator configurations tested shielding properties tungsten lead for measured.
