摘要: Abstract The development of visible-light effective TiO 2 photocatalysts allows low cost degradation toxic non-biodegradable organic pollutants. In the present study a series vanadium doped titania (V-TiO ) with V-to-Ti 0.03, 0.06 and 0.1 were synthesized by either one-step or two-step modified sol–gel approaches. Titanium oxychloride solution was used as source while pentaoxide vanadia to form V-TiO in absence surfactants. One-step process performed through reaction source. route Ti(OH) 4 gel preformed gelation using ammonium then peptized acidic solution. physicochemical properties samples examined XRF, XRD, UV–visible DRS, SEM-EDAX, TEM, DTA-TGA, XPS nitrogen gas physisorption studies analyses. It observed that morphology, crystal structure photochemical obtained largely dependent on calcination temperature, synthetic approach ratios. Calcination yielded large ultrafine perhaps monodispersed particles different sizes depending technique. photocatalytic performance tested photodegradation methylene blue presence natural sunlight. activities higher than approach. Thus, report suggest systematic, convenient cost-effective techniques yield harnessed for decolorization pollutants solar irradiation.
