摘要: We present a surgical series of 35 patients (25 males and 10 females) with histopathologically verified intracranial cavernous angiomas. The malformations were located as follows: 21 in the cerebral hemispheres; 4 lateral ventricles, brain stem; 6 cerebellum. Seizures focal neurological deficits main clinical features observed A number these vascular misdiagnosed by computerized tomography. In last years, magnetic resonance imaging has been most sensitive method for detecting lesions. Thirty-five angiomas treated surgically; 33 complete excision, 2 subtotal excision obtained. One died one year after operation. overall outcome was good all 34 remaining patients, resulting improved seizure control or deficit. rationale neurologic differential diagnosis treatment follow up results are discussed.
