摘要: Abstract A PCR protocol was optimised and validated for the detection of viable Tenacibaculum maritimum cells in salmon skin tissue. Viability conventional (vPCR) quantitative (v-qPCR) assays both had a limit 103 CFU mL−1 cells. The v-qPCR assay showed linear quantification over 4 log units. Conventional vPCR complete signal suppression when only dead were present at concentrations lower than 106 CFU mL−1. While did not result present, method developed to determine if based on % Δ cycle threshold (Ct) value. procedure high-throughput processing an enrichment reliably detect low with without high background Performing this naturally infected tissues that reduced potential false positives compared using qPCR. study provides efficient, reliable robust alternative T.
