摘要: In this chapter, narcolepsy is discussed from the clinical point of view. Several areas recent concern in research are described based on my personal experiences with Japanese narcoleptic patients. There a large literature which has not been known to researchers other countries because language barrier. Some these studies cited and explained briefly. First, symptomatology associated discussed. This leads definition term “narcolepsy” issues diagnostic criteria for differential diagnosis. Next, pathophysiology narcolepsy, neuroendocrine, neuropharmacological, epidemiological findings described, followed by recommendations practical treatment plans an introduction activities Japan Narcolepsy Association.
