摘要: Abstract In the present research, mechanical properties of a conventional carbon/epoxy composite were improved via incorporating reinforced polyacrylonitrile (PAN) nanofibers between carbon fabric layers. Alumina (Al2O3) nanoparticles employed to improve PAN nanofibers. Morphological studies by scanning electron microscopy (SEM) showed increasing alumina (more than 1 wt%) leading nanoparticle agglomeration. However, transmission (TEM) confirmed no agglomeration occurred at 1 wt%, which highest was achieved for this content. Statistical analysis obtained both in-plane and out-of-plane on hybrid composites (carbon/epoxy containing nanofibers) that with Al2O3-PAN had greater rather control (without even same amount neat nanofiber their counterparts in tensile strength flexural 8 7%, respectively. Furthermore, Compared enhancements resulting from incorporation 23 20%, strength,
