摘要: Planar leaky-wave antenna (LWA) designs that utilize a printed surface wave (SW) source are presented. Specifically, by the addition of periodic arrangement width-modulated microstrip lines on top grounded dielectric slab (GDS), sinusoidally modulated reactance (SMRS) can be realized, providing appropriate conditions for leaky (LW) radiation. In addition, transition section near SW improves matching, while also, controlling leakage rate and aperture distribution. A numerically computed dispersion diagram (DD) structure is also calculated in terms Mathieu functions. Full-wave simulations measurements agreement with developed numerical model results suggest these LWAs offer broadside radiation as well continuous beam scanning efficiencies more than 85%. investigated ease fabrication may useful design new structures guidance other low-cost circuits antennas.
