摘要: Akers' (1998) Social Structure and Learning (SSSL) model of crime deviance posits that social learning is the principal psychological process by which structural causes have an impact on individual behavior. The central hypothesis this effects factors deviant behavior are substantially mediated variables specified in theory. SSSL tested here with data from Boys Town study adolesce nt substance use utilizing LISREL program. gender, class, age as indicators differential location structure; family structure, a measure location; community size, indicator organization. peer association, reinforcement, definitions favorable unfavorable to use, imitation. dependent adolescent alcohol marijuana imitation variable does not fit into stable measurement models latent construct has weaker mediating effects. other do Structural Equation Models (SEM) substantial relationships between use. findings tend support theoretical expectations, but caveats limitations outlined implications for future research test theory more fully.
