摘要: Measurements of the intrinsic reactivity to oxygen chars are increasingly being sought as an indicator combustion potential fuels, particularly with respect residual char burn-out. A TG-based method is described which suitable for both routine industrial use and research studies. Ramp heating, typically at 15 K/min, offers significant advantages allowing entire sample be assessed, requiring only a short time (approximately 1 h) complete able same conditions test almost any sample. Reduced concentrations (6.3% O2 v/v) minimise uncontrolled exothermic heating sample; this also comparable levels encountered in later stages pulverised fuel (PF) combustion. Data processing methods, made possible by developments computer hardware software, have been developed give fundamental, quantitative measurements reactivity, direct comparison overall reactivities different chars. Information on heterogeneity can derived. Typical results range coal other characterisation methods presented. Reactivity values measured two TG instruments geometries, operated using developed, compared found agreement.
