摘要: The use of noble metal nanoparticles (NPs), particularly gold and silver, in biomolecular applications has surged, ranging from innovative strategies for molecular diagnostics to radical new ways treatment. Taking advantage the particular optical–chemical characteristics these NPs, every year methods infectious diseases are reported providing higher analytical capability, sensitivity, throughput at lower costs with possibility be used where needed. Gold silver or a combination both, possess amazing optical/spectral properties, such as intense localized surface plasmon resonance that, together ease modification functionalization biomolecules capable specific recognition, have provided analysis, extending detection limit current nucleic acid protein-based assays. This chapter focuses on diagnostic that take NPs. It discusses their recognition most promising approaches, it compares advantages disadvantages.
