摘要: The objectives of this study were to investigate the effects various concentrations and incubation time intervals diallyl sulfide (DAS), an active principle garlic, on cell viability, glutathione (GSH) concentration its related enzymes activities in rat hepatocytes. According results lactate dehydrogenase (LDH) leakage microscopic examination, 0.5 or 1 mM DAS treatment did not have any adverse viability Intracellular GSH contents cells treated with (58.6 66.4 nmol GSH/mg protein, respectively) higher than controls (54.2 protein), around 8–23%, at 24 hr incubation; a significant difference (P < 0.05) was observed for 48 hr. This phenomenon is beneficial detoxification antioxidation capabilities Further, when hepatocytes DAS, S-transferase (GST), peroxidase (GPx) reductase (GRd) almost same as those controls. On other hand, 5 associated decrease namely increased LDH (50% 24-hr treatment), changes morphology hepatocytes, low intracellular level (45% lower GST, GPx Grd.
