摘要: A multivalent vaccine containing amino-terminal M protein fragments from 26 different serotypes of group streptococci was constructed by recombinant techniques. The consisted four proteins that were formulated with alum to contain 400 μg per dose. Rabbits immunized via the intramuscular route at 0, 4, and 16 weeks. Immune sera assayed for presence type-specific antibodies against individual peptides enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay opsonic in vitro opsonization tests indirect bactericidal tests. 26-valent highly immunogenic elicited fourfold or greater increases antibody levels 25 represented vaccine. immune broadly majority serotypes. Importantly, none cross-reacted human tissues. Our results indicate type-specific, protective epitopes can be incorporated into complex, vaccines designed elicit absence tissue-cross-reactive antibodies.
