摘要: Abstract With a greater number of people living longer and tending to retain many natural teeth, the problems associated with tooth wear are likely place demands upon dental professionals in future. Several attempts have been made develop an index measure wear, for use at both individual population level. A review these indices is undertaken, difficulties experienced (TWI) Smith & Knight (1984) large adult health survey discussed. In elderly scoring criteria TWI proved be difficult apply without additional qualification, cases extreme five-point ordinal scale was found inadequate describe range observed.
