STUDY AND SPECIFICATION OF OPTIMAL LIQUID PHASE SINTERING TEMPERATURE FOR PRODUCTION OF TUNGSTEN-COPPER COMPOSITE

摘要: In this research, elemental powder mixture of pure tungsten and copper powders was prepared after 1 hr mixing, pressed under a load 500 MPa. Samples from the were liquid phase sintered in furnace hydrogen atmosphere at different temperatures (1150-1200-1300-1400 C) for 2 hrs. Structure, grain size, density, hardness strength produced samples sintering studied temperatures. Results showed that increasing temperature up to 1300 C results strength. However, 1400 due extensive number voids among particles, these properties found decrease. The microstructure associated with wide deep holes.
