Depression of melting point of multidomained bismuth in aluminum based metallic glass nanocomposites

摘要: We report the synthesis of nanocomposites Bi in an aluminum based metallic glass matrix by rapid solidification. It is shown that constrained melting and solidification nanometer sized embedded particles lead to formation symmetry related multidomained particles. The exhibit a significantly large depression bulk point (over 100 K) requiring free energy gain greater than 0.7×108 J m−3. This cannot be explained size dependence points or other pressure effects represents intrinsic characteristic
