摘要: FOR some time there has been speculation concerning the fate of obstructing material in pulmonary artery patients who have sustained massive, nonfatal thromboembolism. Pulmonary embolectomy considered 1 such to conserve function even though patient's life is not immediately threatened. In past three years at Marshfield Clinic, Marshfield, Wis, eight with massive thromboembolism treated. was performed or attempted six these patients; two survived. 2 The case reports presented here are embolism, but whose clinical condition that indicated. arteriography confirmed diagnosis each case.
