摘要: Abstract This paper presents mean values of light saturated net photosynthesis (Pn) and dark respiration (R) rates 91 species tropical marine plants studied in Cuba Hawaii. All the major taxonomic groups macroscopic are not significantly different from “productivity” point view, with total “Pn” “R” 7.2 1.4 mg O2 g(dry)−1 h−1, respectively. More than half green, brown red algae have lower but for seagrasses, only 20% is included above-mentioned range. Amongst each group there more productive species. Species whose Pn/R ratios higher 15 include following: Lyngbya majuscula, Cladophoropsis luxurians, Microdictyon setchellianum, Ulva reticulata, Dictyota linearis, Lobophora variegata, Turbinaria turbinata Galaxaura apiculata. They can be considered to most “productive”, although sometimes they abundant.
