摘要: Abstract The organic Rankine cycle (ORC) is regarded as one of the most promising methods to increase efficiency diesel engines. Owing variability exhaust energy with engine speed and load, ORC should be designed for various operating conditions engines optimal waste heat recovery (WHR). In this study, an integrated simulation model engine–ORC combined system (the system) built by GT-Suite. Based on model, MAPs optimum parameters are obtained artificial neural network (ANN) a genetic algorithm (GA). Subsequently, operation modes under proposed. Finally, control strategy switching adjusting that adapts developed GT-Suite MATLAB/Simulink. Simulation results show pump steady approximately 1000 r/min low load region increases when higher than 1800 r/min. By contrast, expander 1500 r/min in all selected conditions. Further investigations indicate performance presents improvements, 3.57% thermal 10.09 g/(kW·h) reduction brake specific fuel consumption (BSFC) compared against original engine. These preliminary prove can used further research. Meanwhile, regard proposed strategy, more thorough experimental research needs conducted.
