摘要: A restriction map was constructed of the ribosomal cistron in a mosquito, Aedes albopictus (Skuse). The 18s, 28s and nontranscribed spacer (NTS) regions were subcloned used to probe for intraspecific variation. Seventeen populations examined throughout world range species. No variation detected coding but extensive continuous existed NTS. NTS consisted two nonhomologous regions. first region contained multiple 190-bp AluI repeats nested within larger XhoI various sizes. There large number length variants repeat found second it gave rise relatively fewer variants. An analysis diversity individual mosquitoes indicated that most arose at population level. Discriminant performed on types demonstrated individuals carried unique set spacers. In contrast with studies Drosophila populations, there seems be little conservation spacers population. importance molecular drive relative drift selection generation local differentiation is discussed.
