Morphology and high-performance of in-situ self-assemble epoxy resin with side aliphatic dangling chains

摘要: Abstract A series of epoxy resins containing side aliphatic pendant chains (abbreviated as EP C-04 , C-08 C-12 and C-18 ) were prepared by the reaction between diglycidyl ether bisphenol F (DGEBF) single-ended fatty amine with a chain length ranging from C4 to C18. Studies on film morphology physical performance demonstrate that cured composites possess excellent mechanical thermal properties, which are originated micro-, submicro- nano-structured phases distributed in matrix. In addition, adjusting lengths dangling chains, properties can be tuned different scales. Consequently, prolonging C18, resin exhibits striking tensile strength 90.65 MPa, an elongation 6.1% modulus 2.55 GPa.
