Electrochemical characteristics of cobalt-doped LiCoyMn2−yO4 (0≤y≤0.66) spinels synthesized at low temperature from CoxMn3−xO4 precursors

摘要: Abstract A series of Co-doped LiMn 2 O 4 spinels general formula LiCo y Mn 2− (0≤ ≤0.66) has been synthesized by a new procedure, i.e. reacting Co x 3− ≤0.99) precursors with LiOH·H at 600°C for h. Structural and electrochemical characterization carried out. The have obtained as single-phase compounds, lattice parameters decreasing from 8.2090(4) the to 8.0664(4) 0.66 1.34 . compounds small crystallite size, that ranges 250 400 A. first cycle Li//LiCo cells studied step potential spectroscopy (SPECS). lithium extraction/insertion mechanism studied. linear diminution spinel capacity on increasing Co-dopant content is observed cycle. For doped remarkable enhancement cyclability retention initial >90% after 12 cycles low current density (C/30) observed.
