摘要: The aim of this study was to evaluate the quality fish meat in relation inorganic contaminants (Zn, Pb, Cu, Cr, Ni and Hg), following Brazilian Health Surveillance Agency (ANVISA) standards five Amazonian exposed untreated urban sewage. Trace metal concentrations were evaluated muscle tissues Schizodon fasciatus (herbivorous), Potamorhina latior (detritivorous), Triportheus angulatus (omnivorous), Plagioscion squamosissimus (carnivorous) Rhaphiodon vulpinus (piscivorous), sampled upstream downstream Santo Antonio’s Hydroelectric Dam, Madeira River (Porto Velho City, Brazil). An acid chemical digestion used extract trace metals from tissues, atomic absorption spectrometry methods quantify concentrations. Fish samples showed values above allowed limits for Cr (0.10 mg.kg -1 ), except (0.09 ). specimens higher (p<0.0001) than upstream. This result may indicate that sewage discharged into river is influencing As only exceeded value consumption, estimated daily intake riverine population calculated based on their consumption each species downstream. Estimates upstream, 13 times population.
