摘要: The anatomic appearance and competency of internal jugular valves were investigated in both cadavers surgical patients. In 20 cadavers, the vein (IJV) was dissected observed. two adult patients, movements observed by endoscopic visualization using an intravascular fiberscope, ultrasound techniques, invasive venography. Transvalvular pressure gradients measured 10 patients to examine competence venous valve. Nineteen obtained from situated directly above termination IJV inferior bulb usually bilateral. remaining 21 could not be examined since they had been already out for another anatomical studies. 16 subjects bicuspid semiluminar. Two a single cusp. opening closing valve visualized easily with fiberscope real-time technique. Eight normal central competent during cough-induced transvalvular 45.3 +/- 10.1 (mean SD) mmHg. Four remained at 75.4 18.2 mmHg, but became incompetent 5.6 4.8 mmHg after hole made 14-gauge needle. Our results indicate that is located 0.5-2.0 cm union subclavian IJV, plays important role preventing retrograde blood flow brain.(ABSTRACT TRUNCATED AT 250 WORDS)
