摘要: Abstract The present study evaluates the efficiency of application electrochemical realkalisation (ER) as a prevent technique for partially carbonated blended reinforced concrete using two pozzolanic additions, metakaolin (MK) and silica fume (SF), replacing 10% cement. In this study, was exposed to controlled climate conditions (1% CO2, 65% RH, 25 °C) until carbonation reached (without initial pre-corrosion). Subsequently, ER applied period 7, 15 21 days specimens without additions (OPC, reference material); in case concretes, single 15 days carried out. all cases, sodium carbonate (Na2CO3) an electrolyte current density 1 A/m2 were used. influence on studied by pH evaluation method, alcoholic solution phenolphthalein at 1% indicator, test performed before after process. As complementary test, FTIR TGA Linear polarization resistance (LPR) half-cell potential (Ecorr) used monitor progress corrosive results verified that method increased cement matrix; however, more effective OPC concretes compared concretes. After treatment, corrosion levels tended decrease over time; values did not reach pre-corrosion state ER.
