摘要: A wide array of analytical tools exists to assess biological parameters, referred as biomarkers, that in clinical medicine are used indicators normal or pathological processes, and pharmacological responses. In environmental occupational health the term biomarker is differently, indicating signaling events systems samples aimed at preventing adverse effects exposures. procedure known human biomonitoring measures size exposures chemicals, their biochemical effects, individual susceptibility. This chapter summarizes biomarkers currently for carcinogen highlights value limitations, restricting examples those chemicals classified groups 1 2A by International Agency Research on Cancer. Several tests monitor individuals exposed carcinogens have been introduced, but preventive relevance uncertain. new era may result from application novel high-throughput techniques.
