摘要: Rapid economic development has led to an annual increase in municipal solid waste (MSW) production. According the US Environmental Protection Agency (US EPA), MSW generation increased by a factor of 2.6 since 1960 [1]. The EPA endorsed concept integrated management that could be tailored fit particular community’s needs. Sustainable and successful treatment should safe, effective, environmentally friendly. primary components philosophy are (a) source reduction including reuse products on-site composting yard trimmings, (b) recycling, off-site (or community) composting, (c) combustion with energy recovery, (d) disposal through landfill. Among them, landfill been practice most widely adopted. There two main drawbacks One is surrounding areas landfills often heavily polluted it difficult keep dangerous chemicals from leaching out into land [2]. other can chances global warming releasing CH4, which 20 times more as greenhouse gas than CO2. Therefore, we must find friendly alternative treat MSW.
