摘要: Abstract : Intense, short light pulses can form filaments capable of propagating kilometers through the atmosphere. This is due to nonlinear index refraction atmosphere in response pulse's high intensity, which creates a self-focusing effect that further intensifies pulse. focusing balanced by formation defocusing plasma A split-step propagation model was used simulate these and investigate collapse long ultraviolet 10-100 picoseconds duration transient edge effects. The structures individual events pulse were characterized. collapsed linearly, yet independently initial power. number collapses undergoes scaled with power, decay rate found dictate event spacing.
